Since 2008, Doug has been appointed as Receiver and Special Master for
foreclosed and distressed properties by District Courts in Santa Fe, Taos and Rio Arriba County.
In January, 2015, I was appointed Receiver for Saddleback Ranch Estates by the First Judicial Court. It was purchased for $17.3 MM and foreclosed when borrowers defaulted on a $14+ MM loan.
In July, 2014, I was appointed Special Master to manage the sale of 22 Meredith Drive in Santa Fe, also by the First Judicial Court. This property is set to closed in the end of May, 2016 at which time my assignment was completed.
In May, 2013, I was appointed Receiver by the 3rd Judicial Court, working with Century Bank in Santa Fe for Advantage Plaza in Espanola. Advantage Plaza is a 3-tenant commercial building on Riverside Drive. Assignment lasted approximately eight months. Since the sale, I have been working with the purchaser, Eric Serna to restructure the leases and solve several other issues, collect rents and help with property management.
On December 28, 2011, I was appointed Receiver by the 8th Judicial District, County of Taos. Properties consisted of three multi-tenant retail buildings, a 39-unit residential development, two condominiums and three parcels of land. All properties are located in Taos and Angel Fire, New Mexico. Assignment lasted approximately two years. I worked with lender People’s Bank.
On March 8, 2011, I was appointed Receiver by the First Judicial Court, County of Santa Fe for the ArtYard Limited Partnership, Century Bank as Mortgagee and plaintiff. Artyard, 708 Camino de la Familia, Santa Fe, NM, is a mixed use project on leased land consisting of 8 commercial condominiums on the first floor, all currently leased with 9 residential condominiums on the second floor. Since the foreclosure, I have been working as a consultant with the Bank to manage the 8 commercial units and help analyze and position the property for resale.
On Aug 31, 2010, I was appointed Receiver for Aspen Apartments in Los Alamos, NM, working with First National Bank of Santa Fe. The assignment lasted approximately 7 months, culminating in the sale of the apartments to a private buyer. In December of 2015, I was engaged by the Buyer to purchase a 64-unit apartment building in Los Alamos. We closed the property in March,2016.
On Feb 17, 2011, I was appointed Receiver for 411 West Water Street in Santa Fe, NM, a 5-tenant retail building located in Santa Fe New Mexico. The assignment lasted approximately five months with First National Bank of Santa Fe as lender. We are currently managing this building for the borrower. We were able to help the borrower refinance with New Mexico Bank and Trust to retain the property.
